I have returned from GDSF rejuvenated and decided to take the Board in hand. You will see that we are now once again an advert free message board. Please do remember that in addition to an annual charge I must pay for pages viewed, so please do not play "chase my neighbour" all around the board, but view only on a "needs must" basis.
You will also note the new 'skin'. I have started a thread elsewhere so that you can comment on this, so please do so in the appropriate place.
We now have a Calender, and a few of the regular rally goers have been made 'Calender Mebos' to keep this up to date with rally information, or in McLays' case updated information on the Official Mebo Pub, The Ship Inn. You should be able to see it by clicking on the tab towards the top of the screen. There is also a panel to feature upcoming calender events towards the foot of the Board.
I have also discovered, and added a Poll feature which (if I got it right) can be used or created by all registered members. See the Trial Poll in the Canal Boat Forum, (well nobody goes there, else).
I have tried to sort out the URL (domain name thingy) so that the Board will now be accessed and displayed as http://www.forum.steamfair.info. Please use that URL or http://www.steamfairforum.co.uk as your means of accessing the Board because if anything goes wrong with this Board I will use those URLs to repoint to a new Board, if I have to build one elsewhere.
While we are very happy to see the Board used for social networking we would very much like to see it put to more use as a forum for rally enthusiasts, so please do start threads likely to be of interest to all those interested in the rally scene. We will be very happy to add new forum lists to meet your requirements. All we ask is that they are used.
